How much does a Celebrant cost??
Celebrant prices vary wildly. And when I mean wildly, I really mean it.
Experienced Celebrants (in the 6 to 10-year experience range) can command upwards of $2500. I know that figure may singe your eyes, but, for the most part, you get what you pay for in the wedding world.
Starting out, Celebrants may charge $700 to 1k. The quality may vary, so be sure to check out their wares and that they possess the basics. Looks for things like previous scripts, their PA system, and reviews (even if they only have a few).
My Celebrant Buddy allows you to pick anyone to be your Celebrant. It starts at just $650 (plus GST).
I started it because so many couples were asking me whether their friend or family member could be their Celebrant (but didn’t want the costs or time associated with studying the course).
All the legal obligations are taken care of, and you’ll be supported by me; a Celebrant with more than seven years of experience.
